A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Chris, and I'd like to tell you a little about who I am and what you can expect from me...

For as long as I can remember I've had a camera, the first one being an awful camera phone, way back when I was at school, over time I became more interested in learning how to take great photos. I then gradually began upgrading my equipment as my photography skills got sharper. I suppose my passion for photography came from capturing special family moments with my wonderful wife, Laura, my gorgeous daughter, Millie, and our handsome little boy Theo!

The turning point had to come after my own wedding.

seeing how the images came together to tell the story of our day and show the connections between our family and friends really spurred me on to turn my hobby into a career. I loved how the images captured the essence of our day, forgotten moments frozen in time.

For me, reportage wedding photography is about capturing the real essence of your day, the  genuine connections between people, the beautiful details and the natural moments. It is telling your story as a couple, how you want it to be told.

The fun stuff

Okay, I know it sounds cliche, but I really am a family man. I love nothing more than spending time with my little squad!

We love the outdoors and as soon as the sun makes an appearance, you can guarantee we are out and about on walks, bike rides and other outdoor adventures.

Don't get me wrong, we're no Von Trapp Family (I can be a terrible wind up!) and we are equally as happy sat on the sofa eating our body weight in treats- life is all about balance, right?

We are also serial home renovators! Our first home was a Victorian terrace renovation (we pulled it out of the 1950's) and we are currently renovating a 1930's house. What can we say? We like to keep busy!

Below is a list of things that make me tick..

  1. Regular exercise is key for me, keeps me focused and also allows me to have our famous 'treat nights' (rubbing belly)

  2. Holidays, usually well earnt trips, my wife will happily sit by the pool all day with a book or two.... I'm usually off exploring with my camera, every cafe is an excuse for a coffee break.

  3. Being a magpie when it comes to gadgets (have to have it)

  4. My love for football......... will never end.

  5. Renovating.... houses! One day we will live in a house that is complete, until that day we DIY

  6. Secret lover of gardening programmes (my secret is out)

  7. Favourite meal has to be the Sunday roast, but for a naughty saturday night takeaway it has to be a curry.....wait, chinese...

  8. Above all else, spending time with family

Fancy a coffee

One of my favourite parts of being a photographer is getting to meet new people. Planning a wedding can be a stressful time for some, but most of the time its fun and exciting, either way I'd love to have a coffee and a chat and listen to your plans for the big day. I can come to you or you're more than welcome to come over to the studio and take advantage of the coffee and biscuit supplies!
